How do you apply for Udyam registration online?
You apply on the portal's New Registration form, which runs in six tabs and ends with the certificate issued online. Udyam registration in Maharashtra follows exactly the same steps as anywhere else:
- Open the Udyam registration form for new enterprises on the Ministry's portal.
- Aadhaar Verification: enter the Aadhaar number and name, then the OTP.
- PAN Verification: enter the PAN and let the portal validate it.
- Basic Details and Official Address: add the enterprise name, type and your Maharashtra address and district.

Under PSI-2019, micro and small units in Mumbai and Mumbai Suburban dealt with the Joint Director of Industries (Mumbai Metropolitan Region), not a DIC. Ask your district office which scheme is open before you apply.

Go to your District Industries Centre. Maharashtra's Directorate of Industries has a DIC in every district, and the Udyam portal says its single window systems at DICs and Champions Control Rooms help for free.
- Pune: the Pune district DIC is the free "facilitation centre" for Udyam.
- Nagpur: go to the Nagpur district DIC.
- Mumbai: use the DIC for Mumbai City or Mumbai Suburban district.
