How Do I Check My HSRP Status Online?
You can confirm your HSRP status on the same portal your state's transport department directed you to when you ordered your plate, using your order ID and vehicle number. Follow these steps:
- Open the Track Your Order page on the booking portal you ordered from.
- Enter your order number (from your booking confirmation or receipt).
- Enter your vehicle registration number (for example, DL01AB1234).
- Type the captcha shown on screen.
- Select Search to see your current order status and projected installation date.
What Details Do I Need to Track My Order?
To check your order status you have to essentially provide those two details namely, your registration number of the vehicle and booking order number. It is important to fill in both of these in order to be able to see your status.
What if I can't find my order number?
Then go to the Reprint Receipt page on the portal and see your booking details once more; or, if you wish to complain, you can use the Grievance Redressal feature on the site. Please note that it is impossible to track any order using the vehicle number only on our booking portal.
What Do the Different HSRP Order Statuses Mean?
| Status stage | What it means for you |
|---|---|
| Order booked / confirmed | Your booking is registered. Payment may still be pending. |
| Payment confirmed | Your fee is received and the order is in the queue. |
| Under process / in production | Your plate is being manufactured. No action needed yet. |
| Appointment scheduled / ready for affixation | Your fitment slot or home-installation is set. Note the date and location. |
| Affixed / delivered | Your HSRP is fitted to the vehicle. The job is complete. |
How Do I Check My HSRP Fitment on VAHAN?
Immediately after the registration plate is put on your vehicle, the details are recorded in the RC of your vehicle on VAHAN, which is an official database maintained by the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways.
Which VAHAN service shows my RC status?
To find out about your vehicle's information, visit the VAHAN citizen portal via parivahan.gov.in or using the mParivahan app. There, pick the 'Know your Vehicle Details' option and input your vehicle number. This procedure helps you in knowing the status of the vehicle registration certificate (RC) along with checking if there have been any modifications in the record to retrieve the data. The state's systems take approximately 24-48 hours to update changes before the records can appear here, so there might be a delay in messages.
What Does "HSRP Status Not Available" Mean?
The sentence "Status not available" usually means that there is no record found to match and update it so that your order cannot be processed. Try these fixes in order:
- Recheck your details. A wrong order number or a spacing mistake in the vehicle number is the most common cause.
- Wait for the sync. State portal updates can take 24 to 48 hours to appear on VAHAN or the tracker. Check again the next day.
- Confirm your state and portal. Make sure you are tracking on the same site you booked on.
- Raise a grievance. If it stays blank for several days, use Grievance Redressal on the booking portal with your order details.
How Long Does HSRP Delivery and Fitment Take?
The expected fitment date can be found on your booking receipt and during tracking. The periods differ from one state to another and depend on factors like the workload of the RTO and if you went for dealer assistance or home fitting.
What if my fitment date has passed?
If the installation date has passed and no installation has occurred, you have two options to choose from. You can either select the Reschedule Appointment option from the booking page and follow it up with a selection of the Check For Home Installation. In case of excessive delays, you need to proceed with the process of filing a complaint.
Where Do I Book HSRP and Get Help?
HSRP is booked and affixed by government-authorized vendors, not sold directly by the government, so the actual booking and payment happen on the authorized portal your state transport department directs you to. That state transport department portal is the official government gateway, and the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways HSRP page sets the rules. If you would rather not juggle multiple portals, Jaagruk Bharat can guide you through booking and tracking your plate.
How do I avoid HSRP booking scams?
There are a lot of scam websites and it is imperative that your payments are made only on the authorized booking portal your state's transport department directs you to, never a look-alike site. The tips we provide you with on how to steer clear from HSRP booking scams will alert you of the warning signs. If you need help in this process, Jaagruk Bharat is there to help you in making an HSRP registration and tracking.

Common Mistakes to Avoid When Checking HSRP Status
- Paying on a look-alike or scam site instead of the authorized booking portal.
- Entering the wrong order number or a mistyped vehicle registration number.
- Panicking at "status not available" before the 24 to 48 hour sync window has passed.
- Losing your booking receipt, which holds the order number you need to track.
- Missing your scheduled fitment appointment instead of rescheduling it in time.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I track my HSRP order without the order number?
No. The booking portal needs both your order number and vehicle registration number to show your status. If you have lost the order number, use the Reprint Receipt option on the portal to retrieve your booking details, or raise a grievance request with your registered mobile number.
How do I check HSRP status by vehicle number only?
The booking portal always needs both the order number and the vehicle number. To check by registration number alone, use the Know Your Vehicle Details service on the VAHAN portal or the mParivahan app, which shows your RC status but not the plate-order progress.
Why is my HSRP status not updating after payment?
Updates between a state transport portal and VAHAN typically take 24 to 48 hours to sync, so a recent payment or fitment may not show immediately. Wait a day and check again. If it stays stuck, raise a grievance on the booking portal with your order number.
Which portal do I use to check my HSRP status?
Use the same portal your state's transport department directed you to when you booked. HSRP booking is state and vendor-specific, so there is no single national tracking portal - some states run their own transport-department portals. For the vehicle's RC record, use the VAHAN portal on parivahan.gov.in. Always track on the exact site where you placed the order.
Can I reschedule my HSRP fitment appointment?
Yes. The booking portal has a Reschedule Appointment option. Enter your order and vehicle details to pick a new slot. If your area supports home installation, you can also use Check For Home Installation to confirm coverage before rescheduling.
What if my HSRP is not delivered on time?
First recheck your projected date on the tracker, since timelines vary by state and RTO. If the date has clearly passed, use Reschedule Appointment or the Grievance Redressal option on the authorized booking portal, quoting your order number, to escalate the delay.
