The Ladli Laxmi Yojana is a flagship scheme of the Madhya Pradesh government. It provides financial assistance for the education of girls born after January 1, 2006. If you wish to know ‘ladli laxmi yojana kab shuru hui, ’ the scheme was launched on May 2, 2007.
Intending to suppress female infanticide and promote the education of girls to empower them, especially amongst the non-tax-paying families, this government scheme is a ray of light for women in Madhya Pradesh. Monetary or financial assistance is provided under this Ladli Laxmi Scheme in instalments. An assurance certificate is issued in the name of the girl child, which is worth Rs 1,43,000. Rs 6,000 is annually deposited in the account of the girl for 5 years, starting from registration. Amounts are provided again in the following order:

The eligibility criteria to avail of the Ladli Laxmi Scheme are as follows:
The girl should be of age, not less than 16 or born after the 1st of January, 2006.
She should get herself enrolled with the local Anganwadi centre.
The parents are both residents of Madhya Pradesh.
The parents should not be paying income tax.
Family planning has to be embraced after the birth of the second child.
In cases of having small families with two or fewer children, the use of birth control measures should be practised after the birth of the second child. If the firstborn is a girl, then welfare will still be offered without having to go through the family planning requirement.
In families with two children, if one parent dies, the girl can be registered until the age of 5.
If a mother gives birth to three girls at once, all three will get the scheme's benefits.
The scheme benefits are available to girls born to women in prison.
Girls born to rape victims or girls in need are eligible.
District collectors can approve cases where family planning was not followed due to health reasons.

The recipients who cannot avail of the Ladli Laxmi Yojana scheme are listed below in detail, along with the reasons for exclusion:
School dropout girls.
Young ladies who get into marriage before reaching the legal age of 18.
Those parents who have two children and neglect to apply family planning measures.

Interested and eligible candidates can apply for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana through both, online and offline platforms.
Step 1: Visit the official website of Ladli Laxmi Yojana.
Step 2: Click on ‘Apply For’ and fill out the self-declaration form.
Step 3: Fill in the necessary details and then click ‘Save and Apply’.
Step 4: After verification of your details, the amount shall be debited from your account automatically.
Step 1: Visit your gram panchayat or the nearest Anganwadi centre and take the Ladli Laxmi Yojana form.
Step 2: Fill out the form with the relevant attached documents and submit it at the Lok Seva Kendra.
Step 3: Once your details have been verified, you shall receive the amounts in your account.
Applicants need to submit certain supporting documents to successfully apply for the Ladli Laxmi Yojana. The list of those documents is as follows:

The certificate in family planning, if any, in the case of the second girl child.
