Girls are an integral part of society who carry the potential and talent to bring positive change. Throughout history, women have contributed to innumerable fields but have still been facing discrimination and inequality because of gender discrimination, especially in developing countries like India.
To address these longstanding issues and diminish gender disparity, the Government of India introduced the Balika Samridhi Yojana (BSY) under the Ministry of Women and Child Development in 1997. The Sarkari Yojana aims to reduce the gender disparity between men and women and reduce gender-based inequalities and discrimination.
