The candidate needs to meet each of the following requirements to be eligible to apply for this scholarship for cadets:
Applicant must be a permanent citizen of the State of Mizoram.
The applicant should be a successful candidate of the Annual Entrance Examination conducted by All India Sainik School Society.
The applicant must get admission in Sainik School Chhingchhip, Mizoram.
The applicant should not be receiving benefits under any other scholarship scheme.
In the case of SC/ST categories, the income of the parent/guardian should not be more than Rs.1,00,000 per month.
The monthly income of the parent/guardian must not exceed Rs. 50,000 in case of applicants belonging to the general category.
The benefit under the scheme can only accrue to one child of the same parents and guardians.
Scholarship may be withdrawn if the cadet is medically unfit for admission to the National Defence Academy.
The application process of this government education support is conducted through the institution after the student qualifies for admission.
Step 1: The student should first pass the Annual Entrance Test organised by All India Sainik School Society.
Step 2: The student, after qualifying has to get admission to Sainik School Chhingchhip, Mizoram.
Step 3: Parents/guardians are to provide valid income or salary certificates at the time of admission to determine the government scholarship rate.
Step 4: Sainik School Chhingchhip verifies the documents and prepares the list of eligible cadets.
Step 5: The institution submits the students who have been verified as eligible to the Mizoram Scholarship Board, which serves as the nodal body and the awarding body.
Step 6: The State's approved share of the Scholarship amount is credited directly to Sainik School Chhingchhip, in order to adjust against approved fees of the cadet.
