The Extremely Backward Class Pre-Matric Scholarship Scheme is a welfare measure of the Government of Rajasthan for the students who fall under Extreme Backward Class category. The scholarship for OBC students in Rajasthan is about ensuring the participation of socially and economically weaker sections in education.

To ensure that the scholarship benefits are being captured by the deserving students of the identified EWI students, the Devnarayan scholarship eligibility criteria are prescribed by the Rajasthan Government.
A permanent resident of Rajasthan is essential, and should have proof of domicile in the state issued by the competent authority.
The student must be from among the notified communities included in the Extremely Backward Class (EBC) recognised by the Government of Rajasthan.
The certificate of caste shall be issued by a Tehsildar or any revenue authority higher than the Tehsildar authorised for the purpose of issuing a certificate of caste.
Overall family income of the students' parent/guardian from all sources shall not exceed two lakhs/- per annum.
The Sakrari scheme is open for enrolment for students studying in classes VI to X in recognised educational institutions.
The benefits of the scholarship shall be available for students in regular pursuit of studies and on academic accreditation requirements as prescribed by the Department.
An employed student who receives leave without pay for the entire length of the course while they are pursuing education as a full-time student may be considered eligible.
Any child of the same father or mother is entitled to benefit from the scheme, provided that they meet the conditions officially set out.
The applicant must have no other scholarship stipend from the Central Government, State Government or any source receiving public funds for the same purpose.
The Rajasthan school scholarship scheme is for students who are members of the following notified communities:
Banjara.
Baladiya.
Labana.
Gadia-Lohar.
Gadolia.
Gujar.
Gurjar.
Raika.
Raibari (Debasi).
Gadariya (Gadri).
Gayari.
Students who also belong to these communities can apply once they are eligible for the other requirements.
The application for the Rajasthan pre-metric scholarship is fully online through the Rajasthan Single Sign-On (SSO) Portal. Students can submit their applications from home or through e-Mitra centres.
Step 1: Go to the Rajasthan SSO platform, register and then visit the Scholarship application area.
Step 2: Sign up for a new user at the Rajasthan SSO Portal, using the Jan Aadhaar info, to get login details.
Step 3: Existing users log in directly using the verification number, password and SSO ID.
Step 4: Upon successful login, click on any of the Scholarship Application services available under the Social Justice and Empowerment Department.
Step 5: Fill in the online application form with all the personal, academic, domicile, caste and income-related information.
Step 6: Submit copies of all documents to be scanned, in proper form and ensure documents are legible and clear.
Step 7: Correct all the information that has been filled out in the application form before final submission, or else the application will be rejected if there are errors in it.
Step 8: You may submit the application online and keep the Acknowledgement number or Application number for future reference.
Step 9: Check application status regularly at the Rajasthan SSO Portal till the scholarship is approved and credited.
The candidates are advised to have their Devnarayan scholarship documents required ready to hand before the process of filling out an application online.
A Domicile Certificate Copy issued by the competent authority to prove that the applicant is a resident of Rajasthan.
Valid Caste Certificate Copy proving membership of an eligible Extremely Backward Class community.
Income Certificate Copy with the proof of annual family income is not more than ₹2,00,000.
Marksheet / Certificate of the student's previous class-passed qualification.
Jan Aadhaar Card or Bhamashah Card Copy for identity and family verification purposes.
Copy of Aadhaar Card with correct personal particulars and Aadhaar no. of the student.
