Post-Matric Scholarship For ST Students In Mizoram 2026

The scheme is for students who are studying in any type of educational institution that provides a course of study that is recognised. It includes studies from Class XI to Post-Doctoral Fellowship and is one of the most comprehensive educational assistance programmes for ST students.

What Is The Eligibility Criteria Of The Post-Matric Scholarship?

All these things are required for achieving the mandate of post-matric financial assistance to the needy students belonging to the eligible tribals. The key eligibility criteria include:-

• The applicant should be a member of the Scheduled Tribe (ST) community and must possess a Tribal Certificate issued by the competent authority.

• The applicant has to be a permanent resident of Mizoram and must have a valid Permanent Residential Certificate when appearing for the application process.

• The applicant should be pursuing studies from Class XI up to a Post-Doctoral Fellowship in a recognised educational institution.

• Applicant's parent/guardian's earnings from all sources will not exceed Rs. 2,50,000/- per annum as a combined total.

• The applicant must be pursuing a recognised professional, technical, vocational, non-professional, non-technical, correspondence, distance-learning or continuing education program in accordance with the requirements of the scholarship.

• The applicant should have an active Aadhaar number and a functional bank account involved with the scholarship application so that he/she can get financial assistance by Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).

• The applicant must apply online with all prescribed documents along with all appropriate supporting documents before the last date notified on NSP.
