India is a developing country, but not all areas are being developed at the same speed. Rural areas of India need extra attention and more focus on the plans. Keeping this in mind, the government of India has introduced various government schemes to speed up the process. Even though the scheme aims to develop rural India, the government wants the Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana (PMGY) to be implemented nationwide, ensuring development everywhere.

There are multiple challenges faced by Pradhan Mantri Gramodaya Yojana (PMGY) for the nationwide implementation of this sarkari yojana. The most prominent is the inadequate fund required to support such a scheme on a large scale.

Another issue faced is inadequate last-mile connectivity which makes it difficult for rural people to access and avail of this Sarkari scheme. Because of this, there aren’t many people participating in this scheme, and so not many people in rural India are aware of this scheme.
