The state government scheme comprises several objectives, some of which are written below in brief points:
The government scheme for artists ensures that all the artists who present their outstanding skill, creativity, and genuineness through their work are appreciated and recognised. This not only boosts the morale of the artists of the state but also encourages the youth to enter the field of arts, if interested, as people are often discouraged from taking this pathway.
The Sarkari Yojana appreciates the work of various artists engaged in various art forms, such as music, dance, drama/tiatr, folk art, creative photography, painting, visual art, sculpture, bhajan/kirtan, literature, and film. Through such a wide focus, the government aims to include as many art forms as possible, especially ancient and heritage forms.
The state government scheme also aims to popularise the artists selected for the award so that their art form can reach as many people as possible. This ensures that, along with respect and recognition, they can get monetary value for their exceptional talents as well.
The Sarkari Yojana comes along with a range of benefits for its beneficiaries. Some of the key benefits are mentioned below for one’s better understanding of the scheme:
The primary benefit that is provided to the selected artists through the scheme is that of a cash prize worth Rs. 25,000, along with a memento and a certificate of appreciation. These prizes help the artists purchase the resources they have always desired to have and use for their respective art forms.
The award enhances the visibility of the artists’ work and allows them to reach a large audience. This popularity helps their career take a turn and move forward in the right direction, wherein they can participate in or organise various events like exhibitions.
The Sarkari Yojana reflects the state government’s commitment toward the creative individuals of the population who make the state pleasant for the eyes and the soul.
