YSR Cheyutha Scheme is a state government scheme that works for women’s empowerment provided by the Andhra Pradesh Government. YSR Cheyutha Scheme is a women empowerment scheme implemented by the Andhra Pradesh Government which focuses on improving certain traits among Women of weaker sections of the society.
In the govt scheme, the fund guarantees a total sum of 75,000 rupees after four consecutive terms of 18,750 rupees instead of a lump sum. This support in a monetary form helps women aged between 45-60 years in enhancing earnings either through expansion or sustenance of income-generating activities. The scheme’s goal is to ensure these women have more financial backing and opportunities that will enable them to thrive.

Must be a resident of Andhra Pradesh.
Should be a female belonging to BC, SC, ST, or minority communities.
Must be aged between 45 to 60 years.
Should not be a government employee or pensioner (sanitary workers exempted).
A family's annual income should be less than ₹10,000 in rural areas and ₹12,000 in urban areas.
Monthly electricity consumption should be under 300 units.

Visit the official Portal of Andhra Pradesh.
Log in using Aadhaar-based OTP authentication.
Select "YSR Cheyutha" from the schemes dropdown.
Submit your application, which will be forwarded for field verification by welfare officers.
Verified applications are reviewed, and eligible applicants are listed for financial aid distribution.
Track the application status via the Citizen Schemes Portal.

The Government of Andhra Pradesh has earmarked ₹17000 crores for the YSR Cheyutha Scheme. ₹4,687 crores were allotted to be disbursed in 2024. This govt scheme encompasses the welfare programs of the government targeting the weaker section of society.
The 3rd phase of the YSR Cheyutha Scheme is launched in 2024. This phase will provide financial assistance to over 26 lakh women across Andhra Pradesh. The Chief Minister will inaugurate this phase, disbursing funds directly to beneficiaries' bank accounts.
The government of Andhra Pradesh has entered into a tie-up with big companies like Sache, amul, and P&G, reliance, to help women who benefit from opening grocery shops as an effort to encourage self-employment. These women would be able to make over and above Rs 10,000 from these businesses thus ensuring they are financially secured.
Under the YSR Cheyutha Scheme, ₹5,386 crores were set up for the management of animals such as cows, goats, and buffaloes among others. This govt scheme aims at promoting animal rearing amongst women.
In November in the year 2022, the Andhra Pradesh government issued ₹510 crores during the phase decline of the YSR Cheyutha program. The approximate 2.72 lakh beneficiaries were paid at ₹18,750 which was helpful for women in rural cooperate society.
In the new YSR Cheyutha updates, it has been stated that the beneficiaries will still get eight thousand rupees in YSR Cheyutha every year for four years with the money paid directly into their accounts. This state government scheme is still geared towards achieving money independence for women as well as improving their overall well-being.
