The Union Minister for Social Justice and Empowerment, Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot, launched the ‘National Portal for Transgender Persons’ and also inaugurated ‘Garima Greh: A Shelter Home for Transgender Persons’ in Vadodara, Gujarat.
The government initiative aims at simplifying the process of applying for certificates and ID cards digitally for transgender people so that they can easily access the physical interface.
