What Is The Dr YSR Aarogyasri Scheme?

In 2007, the state government of Andhra Pradesh launched the Dr YSR Aarogyasri Scheme aimed to provide health insurance coverage, especially to people from the economically weaker section of society. Dr YSR Aarogyasri Scheme Eligibility Criteria

Interested applicants first need to ensure whether they fit into the eligibility criteria or not. The eligibility criteria are as follows:

  • Must be from the state of Andhra Pradesh or Telangana.
  • Must have less than 35 acres of land (wetland and dry land).
  • People who work as labourers, private sector employees, part-time employees, or engaged in the sanitisation sector earning less than 5 lakh annually can apply for the scheme.
  • Must have one vehicle only.
  • Families with white ration cards.
  • People who are registered under the Antodaya Anna Yojana can also apply.

Step 1: Please visit the official website of the Gram ward Sachivalayam portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Citizen Login’ and log in using your Aadhaar number.

Step 3: Navigate to the application for the ‘Aarogyasri Health Card’.

Step 4: Fill in your details like name, address, identity proof, etc.

Step 5: Upload all the required documents.

Step 6: Submit and note the reference number.

Offline Procedure

Interested applicants who want to apply for the scheme offline can do so by following the below-mentioned steps:

Step 1: Please visit the official website of the Gram ward Sachivalayam portal.

Step 2: Click on ‘Citizen Login’ and log in using your Aadhaar number.

Step 3: Navigate to the application for the ‘Aarogyasri Card’.

Step 4: Download the application form and take its printout.

Step 5: Fill in your details like name, address, identity proof, etc.

Step 7: Submit it physically to the concerned govt office.
