What Is The Mahila e-Haat Initiative?
The Mahila e-Haat initiative was started by the Ministry of Women and Child Development to help women entrepreneurs create a market for their goods and fulfil their aspirations. It is a part of the flagship ‘Stand-Up India’ and ‘Digital India’ schemes.
The participating women can display their goods or products on the website. This will help them create consumers for their dealings. The consumer can deal directly with the participating women, either physically or electronically through the modes available. Details of the sellers are provided to the consumers on the website.
The platform has been built with the help of Rashtriya Mahila Kosh (RMK).

What Are The Eligibility Conditions To Be A Part Of The Mahila E-Haat Platform?
The Mahila E-Haat platform has been exclusively created to foster women entrepreneurs and help them build their businesses into stronger versions. The eligibility terms and conditions are:

Must be an Indian women citizen/Women SHG/women-led enterprise.

Should be more than 18 years of age.

Goods and Services displayed and transacted through this portal should be legal.

Both sellers and buyers will have to indemnify RMK from any or all acts of transgression.

The Mahila e-Haat forbids its participants from engaging in any sort of nuisance, fraud or illegal purpose.

Display of fraudulent or misleading goods is also forbidden for the participants.

All the terms and conditions and the acceptance letter must be signed by the participants.
