Focus On Capital Expenditure

The government plans to spend ₹7,903 crore on capital expenditure in this fiscal year while increasing the previous year's amount by ₹903 crore. The investment will boost infrastructure development, support economic expansion, and generate jobs for young people.

Introduction Of 13 New Welfare Schemes

The budget implements 13 fresh welfare plans that serve different population groups.

  • Coaching Centres for Competitive Examinations: The government will create three facilities for competitive exam preparation centres across Agartala, Udaipur, and Ambassa which will let candidates stay within the state for their training needs. ​

  • Computer-Based Examination Centre: A new Computer-Based Examination Centre worth ₹15 crore exists at the Hapania International Fair Ground in West Tripura to provide online assessment capabilities for state-level testing. ​

  • Bharat Mata Canteen cum Night Shelter: The budget-funded Bharat Mata Canteen cum Night Shelter in Agartala operates as an affordable facility for people visiting the state capital. ​

  • Pension Scheme for Mentally Challenged Individuals: Through a pension scheme the government shows dedication to social welfare by providing financial support for mentally challenged persons. ​

  • Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vikash Yojana: A one-time grant of ₹50,000 for the marriage of girls from Antyodaya families, with an allocation of ₹10 crore for mass marriages at the subdivisional level.

Sectoral Allocations

The Tripura government has strategically allocated funds across key sectors to drive economic growth and social welfare. These allocations aim to enhance infrastructure, healthcare, education, and rural development for sustainable progress.

  • Agriculture and Rural Development: In the budget, the sector of Agriculture and rural development received funds of ₹127.15 crore for developing 52 rural markets throughout all eight districts.

  • Healthcare: The budget devotes healthcare funds toward the strengthening process of the Tripura State Agriculture Management & Extension Training Institute (T-SAMETI) while implementing infrastructure upgrades in aspirational blocks and Dhalai district.
