Follow the below-mentioned steps to clear your challan dues online:-
Step 1: Visit the official web-based portal, Parivahan Sewa.
Step 2: Find the Pay Online button/Link and left-click on it.
Step 3: Provide Challan information about the Challan number, vehicle number or Driving licence number.
Step 4: Type the captcha code that appears and click on the button labelled “Get Detail.”
Step 5: Choose an online payment option and go ahead and make the payment.
Follow the below-mentioned steps to clear your challan dues offline:-
Step 1: Take your vehicle paper and the challan receipt to the nearest traffic police station.
Step 2: You can pay the challan on the e-challan machine installed there immediately.
The penalties for traffic violations in India depend on the state where the offence happens. While the Motor Vehicles Act, of 1988 provides the general rules, each state's Regional Transport Office (RTO) sets specific fines. This means that the same traffic violation may have different penalties in different states. However, the uniform rates for specific penalties under the Motor Vehicles Act are as follows:-

As a general precaution when operating any vehicle wear your seat belt or helmet at all times.
Take DL, RC, insurance, and PUCC if you have them, otherwise.
Obey traffic signals and try not to over-speed on the road.

Do not overcrowd your vehicle and stay in your lane or do not straddle over more than one lane when driving.
