Specifics Of Telangana’s Budget 2025
This year, the state of Telangana is planning and working on various infrastructural projects for inclusive and sustainable growth and development. The state government’s primary objective is to find a balance between technological growth and sustainable growth so that the state can grasp a leading position in the use of renewable energy, artificial intelligence, and hi-tech industries.
The governor expressed, “The Telangana of tomorrow will be even greater – a State that leads in economic development, agricultural strength, technological innovation, social justice, and human dignity”.
Some of the major initiatives announced through Telangana’s budget 2025 are laid down below:
1. Comprehensive Caste Survey
Recently, the state of Telangana conducted a ‘Comprehensive Caste Survey’ to identify and make an accurate list of people from marginalised groups. This was done using an extremely scientific methodology and a rigorous verification process so that no non-eligible people apply to reap the benefits of the schemes and services announced specifically for people from marginalised groups.
Telangana’s govt has proposed two major bills to establish and achieve social justice. The two key bills are:

The state govt has proposed a bill for reserving 42% of seats for people from the backward classes.

The govt is planning to introduce a new bill for the sub-categorisation of the Scheduled Castes (SCs) on the recommendations of Justice Shameem Akhtar Commission.
2. MSME
The state of Telangana has an extreme focus on the growth and development of Micro, Small, & Medium Enterprises (MSMEs). Support will be provided in the form of tailored programs, access to advanced technology, and financial aid.
Other Components Of The Budget
There are several components that the state budget for 2025 is made up of. All those are listed below for one’ reference and understanding:

Free bus travel facility to be provided to women.

Issuing a crop loan waiver to the farmers farming in the state so that their financial burdens can be reduced. Also, landless farmers would be given monetary support worth Rs. 12,000.

The govt announced that this year, around 55,000 vacancies would be opened for increasing employment opportunities.

A subsidy of Rs. 500 will also be provided to certain families to purchase LPG cylinders. This will help families from low-income groups to use cylinders for cooking instead of traditional hectic and harmful methods.
The governor also mentioned the Indira Mahila Shakti Mission. The primary aim of the mission is to create at least 1 crore women entrepreneurs. The state govt has allocated a budget of around Rs. 1 lakh crore for the same.

The governor also announced the state’s first tourism policy to attract as many tourists as possible to one of the most beautiful places in India.

6000 EV charging stations would also be established by the year 2029-30 for a clean and green source of transportation.
