The Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay has been launched by the government of Chhattisgarh to enhance the financial status of the farmers and farming. This govt scheme helps increase the gross sown area by extending monetary assistance to the farmers for growing specified crops. That type of help is provided for only a few selected crops and the payments are paid four times a year.
The government scheme at first covered paddy, maize, and sugarcane but was later increased to include a range of other crops. The crops covered under the scheme include:

Farmers signed up under the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana can get multiple measurable direct cash support to enhance agricultural production. Some of the important benefits include:
Farmer-growing paddy and Maize are given an amount of up to ₹10,000 per acre.
Farmers growing sugarcane are paid ₹355 per 100 kilograms of sugarcane through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT).
Help regarding marginal, small, and large farmers and forest leaseholders.
Payments are to be made in parts during periods of crisis such as the pandemic Covid-19.

To be eligible for the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana, applicants must fulfil the following criteria. Make sure to check all of them carefully.
The applicant must be a permanent resident of Chhattisgarh.
The applicant must be a farmer, whether small, small-scale, or large.
The applicant must be above 18 years of age.
The applicant can be a landowner or someone who rents forest land.

Farmers can apply for the Rajiv Gandhi Kisan Nyay Yojana through an online procedure. Below are the steps to apply for this government scheme.
Step 2: Fill in the necessary details in the application form.
Step 3: Attach the required documents (Loan Book, B-1, Bank Passbook, Aadhaar).
Step 4: Submit the completed application form to the Rural Agriculture Extension Officer (RAEO) for verification.
Step 5: The RAEO will forward the application for registration, and the applicant will be informed about the status of their application through SMS.
Step 6: Once approved, a unique ID will be assigned to each farmer.
