What Is The PM Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana 2025?
On Wednesday, the Union Cabinet of India approved and launched a new agriculture-related scheme called the Prime Minister Dhan-Dhaanya Krishi Yojana (PMDDKY). The scheme aims to establish a minimum of 100 agricultural districts, specifically those districts that are underdeveloped and far from the grasp of the modern world.
The Finance Minister of India initially announced the Krishi Kalyan Yojana during the announcement of the Union Budget of 2025. She also announced the 5 major objectives of the scheme:

Enhancing agricultural productivity.

Adopting crop diversification and sustainable agricultural practices.

Augmenting post-harvest storage at the Panchayat and Block level.

Improving irrigation facilities.

And, facilitating the availability of long and short-term credit options.
Working Of PMDDKY
The Krishi Bima Yojana has been created on the foundations of the Aspirational District Program (ADP), which came in the year 2018, for the development of the 112 underdeveloped regions across India.

A budget worth around Rs. 24,000 crore p.a. has been allocated toward the implementation of PMDDKY.

All the to-be-selected 100 agricultural districts across India will be evaluated on 3 parameters. The parameters of selection under the Krishi Kalyan Yojana are as follows:

What Is The PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana Online Registration Process?
The application process for the PM Dhan Dhanya Krishi Yojana online registration is not traditional, as it is done by the authorities. However, the usual process followed by them is as follows:
Step 1: Every district is required to make a District Agriculture & Allied Activities Plan, including plans on crop diversification and water conservation.
Step 2: Central Nodal officers will be appointed for each district to complete the selection and verification process.
