The major advantage here is a grant of ₹30,000 for a one-time expenditure towards marriage for all the differently-abled women who are eligible.
Differently-abled women with at least 40% disability and an annual family income below a specific threshold are eligible for the Sarkari scheme. To be eligible for the Marriage Assistance Scheme (Parinayam-II), applicants must meet the following criteria:
The applicant should live in Kerala permanently.
The beneficiary must be a female suffering from any form of disability and of eighteen years or older.
The total yearly income of a family should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
Either the differently-abled woman or the parents, of the child with and without a disability, can request help.
The govt scheme applies only to the first marriage, and the applicant's age should be above 18. Additionally, the marriage must be registered as per legal requirements. Below listed points are the important points regarding the eligibility criteria:-
In the event the earlier marriage is annulled for whatever cause, the woman is free to seek assistance for her subsequent marriage.
If the differently-abled applicant dies before her marriage the financial assistance can be transferred to the eldest or the one to be held responsible for the applicant.
If the applicant dies before he or she receives the financial aid after the marriage, but before the death, the money may be provided to the family member who arranged the marriage.
