The government of India has launched a special scheme for adolescent girls called the Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY) under the Ministry of Women and Child Development. The govt scheme is a part of a bigger initiative. i.e. Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS). Additional Benefits Of Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY)
Anganwadi centres also conduct community outreach programs wherein they visit the homes of people to find eligible girls under the scheme to enrol them.
Girls who are a part of the govt scheme are monitored to ensure that they are attending the workshops or not. Anganwadi workers follow up with the girls and their parents regarding their performance and participation.
Anganwadi workers keep in touch with the parents and other members of the community as well to educate them about the importance of essential facilities such as education and encourage them to support their mission of improving the lives of girls.
Eligibility Criteria For Kishori Shakti Yojana (KSY)
The eligibility criteria are as follows:

Girls between the ages of 11-18 years are eligible for the scheme.

Under KSY, minimal documents are needed such as the birth certificate, educational certificates if any, and school ID of the girls to ensure easy accessibility of the services.
