How To Check If Someone Is Using Your Name For A SIM Card?

To check if your information is being fraudulently used by someone to get a SIM Card in your name, follow the steps given below:

  • Visit the official website of Sanchar Saathi.

  • Click on the ‘Know Your Mobile Connections’ or TAFCOP option.

  • You will be directed to a new window on this page.

  • Enter your 10-digit mobile number and enter the captcha code correctly.

  • An OTP will be sent to your number, enter it and validate the OTP.

  • A list of numbers registered in your name will appear.

What To Do If Someone Is Fraudulently Using Your Mobile Number?

You have the option of removing numbers that are not related to you on the page where they are displayed. You can remove their connection with your name and number.

Also, it is required for you to report any suspected fraudulent activity immediately. You can do so by filing a complaint with the cybercrime or Sanchar Saathi website, or by lodging an FIR in the police station.
