What Is Inspire-Manak?

INSPIRE-MANAK is a right-based programme of the Government of India, DST to encourage talented School students in the age group of 10-15 (classes 6-10) students for higher studies and research in the field of science.

Each year, selected students are awarded for their innovative projects, and these winners are featured in the INSPIRE Award project selected students list 2024, which highlights the brightest young minds across the country. Also every year the govt scheme proposes to engage one lakh thousand ideas from more than fifty thousand, five hundred middle and high schools in India. Of those, 100,000 get the INSPIRE Award of ₹10,000 each with each selected idea.

Many schools can nominate no more than 5 students online for a year. During nomination, schools are required to provide additional information about the student’s project ideas. Some of these ideas are approved, and learners can be featured in exhibitions and competitions at district, state, and national stages. Students involved in the National Level Exhibition & Competition (NLEPC) get to be coached by some of the best educational and technical organisations. Among the submissions, 60 are winning national projects. This effort is supported by the National Innovation Foundation (NIF) an autonomous body of the Department of Science & Technology (DST) Govt. of India.
