Many scholarships are available; the latest is the Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme 2024 launched by LIC for EWS Students. This educational scheme grants funds to students deserving of them, enabling them to gain through courses such as engineering, medicine, commerce, science, and other disciplines. Furthermore, it offers vocational and technical courses to ensure that students acquire better capabilities for demanding jobs.

What Is The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship Scheme?

It is a scholarship-promoting programme for EWS children to promote education and employment among the students by LIC. It offers loans to students attending government or private schools, colleges universities to cover multiple sectors.

Areas of interest include engineering, medicine, commerce and business, science, vocational and technical courses.
These would be Integrated courses, ITI courses and Diploma programmes.
Offers two scholarship types: Prize Scholarship categorised into General Scholarship and Special Scholarship for Girl Child.

Who Is Eligible For The LIC Golden Jubilee Scholarship?

It is determined by the candidate’s class size, family income and the type of course being sought to avail it the candidate must possess a certain minimum qualification, the course one wishes to pursue, and the income earned by the family.

1. General Scholarship:

After Class 12th (XII):

He or she must have completed class XII or diploma examination with not less than 60% of marks.
The admission must be for the first year of a degree, diploma or vocational course conducted in the academic year 2024-25 or earlier.
Family income should be below ₹ 2,50,000 per annum (₹ 4,00,000 for Heads of Single parent families).

After Class 10th (X):

Should be a pass out from Class X with a minimum of 60% marks.
It should be for vocational/diploma courses only for the academic year 2024-25.
Family income criteria will be the same as above.

2. Special Scholarship for Girl Child:

To be eligible for the job she must be a female candidate who has completed her class X examination and who has scored more than sixty per cent.
The admission should be in higher studies like intermediate, diploma or vocational courses in 2024-25.

What Is The Scholarship Amount Under This Govt Scheme?
