Empowering Weaker Sections Through Poultry Farming Training

The poultry sector, especially the commercial poultry sector is currently flourishing in certain parts of Gujarat. The government wants to enhance the sector even more by giving them poultry farming training and poultry farming courses with the help of the stipend scheme for poultry. Let’s understand this government scheme in detail.

What Is The Stipend Scheme For Poultry?

The “Stipend Scheme for Poultry Farming Training for Weaker Section” was started by the Department of Agriculture, Farmers Welfare & Co-operation, Government of Gujarat to help poultry farmers increase their income. Under this state government scheme, applicants will receive up to ₹2000 directly in their bank account for completing six days of poultry farming training. They also get a certificate after finishing the training. This amount includes ₹1800 as a daily allowance (₹300 per day) and ₹200 for transport.

What Is The Eligibility Criteria To Apply For This Government Scheme?

The people who want to apply for this stipend scheme for poultry have to meet the following eligibility criteria.

  • Adults of economically weaker sections people of the society of Gujarat State.

  • The beneficiary will have to provide income proof along with the application.

  • Females and beneficiaries Below Poverty Line will be given priority.

What Is The Application Process To Apply For This State Government Scheme?

Applicants who meet the eligibility criteria can either apply online or offline. Let’s take a look at both the processes.

Online Application Process

Applicants who wish to apply online can follow these steps

  1. Visit the official I-Khedut Portal.

  2. Click "Apply New" to start a new application.

  3. Click "Update Application" to make any corrections.

  4. Confirm the application within seven days of saving it online.

  5. Print, sign, and submit the application along with the required documents to the office address given on the application.

  6. Upload the signed application and documents after confirming the application.

  7. Print the confirmed application as online submission alone is not sufficient.

  8. Submit the printed application with the necessary documents to the office or upload it on the I-Khedut Portal.

  9. Ensure all documents are correct and uploaded; incomplete applications will not be processed online.

  10. Submit any missing or corrected documents to the office within seven days if needed.

  11. Scanned documents should be in PDF format and not exceed 200 KB.

Offline Application Process

Applicants who want to apply offline can follow these steps.

  1. Visit the nearest Intensive Poultry Development Project Office or District Poultry Extension Centre to get the application form.

  2. Fill out the form, attach all required self-attested documents, and submit it to the designated authority.

  3. After verification, you will be eligible for the scheme benefits.

What Are The Documents That Have To Be Submitted?

The following documents have to be submitted along with the application form while applying for the stipend scheme for poultry.

  • Identity proof (Aadhaar Card, Voter ID Card)

  • Income Proof Certificate

  • Below Poverty Line Card, If applicable

  • Residence proof

  • Caste Certificate

  • Disability Certificate from Competent Authority (only for PWDs), if applicable

  • Barcoded Ration Card, if applicable

  • Savings Account Bank Passbook or Cancelled Check, if applicable
