Eligible couples can apply for the Dr. Ambedkar Scheme by following the steps laid down below in step-wise format to avoid any confusion.
Step 1: Gather Necessary Documents: Submit identity proof, marriage registration certificate, caste certificate, income proof, and any other required documents.
Step 2: Submit Application: Complete the application and submit it to the district magistrate or social welfare office. Alternatively, an MP or MLA can forward the application.
Step 3: Verification: The district office will verify the application and forward it to the Dr Ambedkar Foundation.
Step 4: Incentive Disbursement: ₹1.5 lakh will be deposited into the couple's joint account, and ₹1 lakh will be placed in a fixed deposit for three years.
Step 5: Follow-Up: After three years, the remaining ₹1 lakh and interest will be released.

Caste Certificate for both spouses (one must belong to SC).
