Education isn’t just a necessity but a dire need that every child needs for a better future. It allows a child to grow and explore their own personalities, intellectual capabilities, and interests. However, with time, this need is turning into a luxury because of extremely high demand and rising expenses, especially for people living in metropolitan cities like Delhi.
Because of this, the government has a reservation system so that unfortunate people and their children can also have fair rights and opportunities to make their lives better and one of those categories are the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) and Disadvantaged Groups (DG).
Every year, thousands of parents wait for the results of the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) as it is the body that announces the results of admissions in various reputed schools of Delhi. The results are announced through a computerised draw of lots to keep the selection process completely fair and equal for all.
Today. i.e. on 6th March, the first draw of students who come from the Economically Weaker Sections (EWS) (annual income should be less than Rs. 5 lakh) will be made and released for the Delhi School Admissions 2025-26.

First Draw Of EWS/DG Categories
The Education Minister of Delhi, Ashish Sood announced that the Delhi Directorate of Education (DoE) will make the computerised draw of lots for the Economically Weaker Sections and Disadvantaged Groups categories today. i.e. 6th March, 2025. The results will be announced shortly in the Conference Room of the Education Department at the Old Secretariat.
The draw of lots is being done for the admission of around 38,000 students in various reputed schools in Delhi.
The Education Minister of Delhi wanted to do the draws in front of the parents for transparency but due to limited seats in the Conference hall, the draw will be screened upon different screens in different locations of the venue.

How To Check The Results?
Parents who come from the EWS/DG categories can check the admission results of their children in Delhi schools by visiting the official website of the Delhi Directorate of Education. After visiting the website, simply use your child’s application details to check the results.
