Musicians equipment grant India is a financial aid scheme available to eligible students to acquire musical instruments or other necessary equipment needed to study different types of art. Musical, dance and fine art instruments are expensive and under the scheme, students' burden to buy these instruments is reduced.
The government scheme is designed for the Government-recognised institutions for the provision of educational programmes related to music, dance, fine arts and allied fields. Before applying for the Manipur students performing arts scheme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
The applicant must be a permanent resident or domicile of Manipur.
The applicant should not be more than 30 years old as on 1st April of the academic year in which the application is submitted.
The applicant must be a student in a recognised art school, which has been notified under the scheme.
The applicant must be enrolled in a regular course in music, dance, fine arts, or an approved art course.
The combined annual income of the applicant and parents should not exceed ₹1,00,000.
The applicant should submit a recommendation from the concerned teacher confirming the need for the instrument or equipment.

Imphal Art College.

The application process of the musicians equipment grant India takes place offline through the Directorate of Art & Culture.
Step 1: Download and print the prescribed application form, which is given in the official scheme guidelines.
Step 2: Fill in all mandatory information carefully and in full and attach copies of all self-attesting documents.
Step 3: Use the application to file a teacher's recommendation, income certificate, purchase bill or voucher and all other necessary documents.
Step 4: Submit the completed application form accompanied with a cover letter to the Directorate of Art & Culture, Government of Manipur, Palace Compound, Imphal to the Director (Art & Culture).
Step 5: Ensure that the application process will be submitted to the Directorate in advance of at least one month, as per the application guidelines mentioned in the scheme.

Reading/Study Certificate issued by the institution.
A certificate signed by the teacher confirming the need for the instrument or equipment.
Income Certificate from the Officer of the government who has been gazetted.
Original Bill or Voucher for instrument or equipment purchase.
Other relevant documents as required by the Directorate of Art & Culture.
Note: Income certificates issued by teachers or officials of the institution where the applicant is studying are not accepted.
