Andhra Pradesh’s TDP-led NDA government budgeted ₹3.22 lakh crores for 2025-26, focusing on welfare, education, health, and rural development. Finance Minister Payyavula Keshav highlighted the provision of health insurance in addition to financial grants to farmers and students, providing higher relief to fishermen, and many more. 1. Talliki Vandanam Scheme: ₹15,000 Aid for Students

  • Designed to support school-aged children financially.

  • Includes children studying in classes 1 to 12 in all government and private institutions.

  • This was among the election promises given by the ruling alliance’s super six.

2. Annadata Sukhibhava: ₹20,000 Annual Aid for Farmers

  • Every farmer in the state receives ₹20,000 each year for all agricultural endeavours.

  • No matter what the state's economic situation is, aid remains consistently accessible.

3. Extended Financial Support for Fishermen

  • Fishermen are provided with ₹20,000 (up from ₹10,000) during the period of the fishing ban.

  • Focused on assisting coastal economies and ensuring economic self-sufficiency.

4. Health Insurance Up to ₹25 Lakh Per Family

  • It is estimated that during the next financial year, each family will have insurance-based coverage up to 25 lakh per annum.

  • Will enable enrollees to spend less on health services and increase their access to healthcare.

Other Key Announcements

Other major commitments and investments targeted towards development have been identified in the budget, such as Amravati growth, infrastructure, education, and welfare schemes. These are the highlights:

1. Super Six Election Commitments

  • Monthly support of Rs 1,500 for women aged 19-59.

  • 20 lakh youth employed or Rs 3,000 as a monthly unemployment stimulus.

  • Women can travel for free by bus.

  • Every family will receive 3 free cylinders of LPG gas per year under the Deepam-2 Scheme.

2. Education & Rural Development

  • Rs 31,805 crore was earmarked for school education.

  • Lieutenant Governor Pawan Kalyan’s Panchayati Raj and Rural Development will receive Rs 18,847 crore.

3. Energy & Infrastructural Development

  • The Energy Department received Rs 13,600 crore for green hydrogen projects.

  • Transport and infrastructure development received Rs 8,785 crore.

4. Amaravati Capital Development

  • The new capital city, Amaravati, was built without the state budget by pooling resources from the World Bank, ADB, and HUDCO.

Following the general budget, agriculture minister K Atchennaidu announced the agriculture budget for FY26, which stands at 48,341 crores. The government intends to increase farming output, irrigation infrastructure, and welfare services to farmers.
