To speed up and make health insurance claims more transparent, the National Health Authority, along with the Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), has introduced the National Health Claims Exchange (NHCX). This new platform aims to make filing claims quicker and easier for users.
It’s designed to streamline the health insurance claim process across different insurers. The platform supports seamless data sharing among 33 major insurers, significantly reducing approval times that previously took longer durations.

This means claim documents can be digitised and verified automatically by integrating them into existing hospitals as well as ensuring frameworks. That not only minimises processing time but also avoids errors due to human mistakes from putting details manually into such systems.
