Indian Navy Recruitment

 The Indian Navy has officially announced the vacancies for civilian staff in 2024. As of December 2023, there are a total of 741 positions for various Group B and C posts under the Indian Navy civil entrance test (INCET 01/2024). The application window will be open until 2nd August 2024.

Key Details Of The Indian Navy Civilian Recruitment

There are several posts to be filled through this recruitment including Chargeman, Scientific Assistant, and Fireman among others which will cater for various expertise and skills.

  • Application Window: From July 20th to August 2nd, 2024.

  • Application Fees: General/EWS/OBC category candidates have to pay a fee amounting to Rs.295/- whereas SC/ST/PWD/ESM/Female candidates are exempted from payment of fees according to the notification.

  • Educational Qualifications: Candidates should ensure that they satisfy the minimum eligibility criteria as per ‘{notification name}’ for educational qualifications and physical standards mentioned in the PDF document.

  1. Chargeman (Ammunition Workshop): Degree in Science with Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics from a recognised university or a Diploma in Engineering in the appropriate discipline from a recognised university or Board.

  2. Chargeman (Factory): Degree in Science with Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics from a recognised university or a Diploma in Engineering in the appropriate discipline from a recognised university or Board.

  3. Chargeman (Mechanic): Degree in Science with Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics from a recognised university or a Diploma in Engineering in the appropriate discipline from a recognised university or Board.

  4. Scientific Assistant: Degree in Science with Physics or Chemistry or Mathematics from a recognised university.

  5. Fireman: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board/institution.

  6. Fire Engine Driver: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board/institution and a valid driving license for Heavy Vehicles.

  7. Tradesman Mate: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board/institution.

  8. Pest Control Worker: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board/institution.

  9. Cook: Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board/institution with one year of experience in the trade.

  10. Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS): Matriculation or equivalent from a recognised board/institution.

Selection Process

The selection process for Indian Navy Civilian Recruitment includes:

Deadline: 2 August 2024

A Written Exam

This is the first stage of screening. The written exam consists of 100 questions, each carrying one mark, with a total of 100 marks. The exam is typically conducted in a single tier, covering subjects like General Intelligence, General Awareness, Quantitative Aptitude, and English Language.

Physical Standard Test (PST) and Skill Test
