The Saur Sujala Yojana was implemented on November 1, 2016, by the Chhattisgarh government, to help farmers with their irrigation needs by providing solar-powered irrigation pumps at low prices. The main goals are to increase crop production and save and improve groundwater. The government scheme offers solar pumps in 3 H.P. and 5 H.P. capacities.
The Chhattisgarh State Renewable Energy Development Agency (CREDA) runs the Saur Sujala Yojana, and the Agriculture Department selects the farmers who will benefit. So far, more than 1 lakh solar pumps have been installed under this govt scheme.

SC/ST beneficiaries pay ₹7,000.
Other Backward Classes beneficiaries pay ₹12,000.
General beneficiaries pay ₹18,000.
SC/ST beneficiaries pay ₹10,000.

General beneficiaries pay ₹20,000.
