Recently, the government of India announced its plan to integrate all the agriculture-related schemes under one digital roof, namely the Krishi Nivesh Portal. The primary reason behind this decision is to improve the agriculture sector of India by enabling people to access various government schemes through just one digital platform.

What Is The Krishi Nivesh Portal?

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare launched a digital platform called the Krishi Nivesh Portal. The online portal will allow people to access all the agriculture-related schemes and conduct various functions like checking eligibility, reading about the benefits of the scheme, and applying or registering.

The portal currently has information about 17 flagship agriculture sector schemes, including schemes like the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund, Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund, PM Kisan Sampada Yojana, and PM Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthan Mahabhiyan (KUSUM), covering schemes from seven ministries as of now.

As per authorities, around 14 ministries and 9 departments under state governments will be involved in implementing agriculture and allied sector schemes. The government is planning to integrate more than 300 agriculture sector schemes and make them accessible through the online portal.
