Eligibility Criteria

For SSC CGL 2024, candidates have to fulfil conditions such as age requirements, educational qualifications, physical standards, and nationality.

The age limit for SSC CGL 2024 candidates should fall in the age group of 18-32 years. Age relaxation is available for certain categories as shown in the table below:

Application Process

The SSC CGL 2024 exam is conducted online and applications for the test are also done online. This is a step-by-step way on how one can easily apply for the SSC Exam online.

Step 1: Visit the official website of the SSC or log in to the SSC Homepage.

Step 2: To register, use your email ID and phone number. You will be issued with a registration number by sms and e-mail.

Step 3: You will be able to fill out the application online when you click the ‘Apply’ tab, on the left side of the web form.

Step 4: Make sure that the photo and the thumb impression dimensions are correct as well.

Step 5: If opting for the online payment of the application fee, the application fee payment could be done either online or through an SBI challan which could be generated online.

Step 6: Apply and ensure the details as modification of most entries is not allowed once you have made your submissions.

Step 7: In the end, you can download your completed application form which you will need for further use, or take a printout.

Documents Required

For the SSC CGL 2024 exam, candidates must carry the following documents along with their Admission Certificate:

  • Two passport-size colour photographs were taken within the last six months.

  • Original valid Photo-ID proof with Date of Birth matching the Admission Certificate, such as an Aadhaar card/ EAadhaar in the form of a Printout

  • Voter ID Card

  • Driving Licence

  • PAN Card

  • Passport

  • Usually, it will be a University/College/School ID Card.

  • Employer ID Card (Govt./ PSU)

  • Discharge Book of an Ex-serviceman/ Ex-servicewoman-ID Proof (issued by MOD)

  • Any other photo-bearing Identity card issued by the Central / State Government.

The SSC CGL 2024 candidates who will be able to register successfully will be allowed to download their admit cards. Follow these steps to download it:
