The Krishi UDAN Scheme was introduced to help farmers in exporting agricultural products through the use of airways, thus increasing the value received on such produce. This scheme majorly aims at developing air transport in regions such as the Northeast, hilly, and tribal regions to strengthen agricultural supply chains both in the domestic and external markets.

To promote agricultural air cargo activities within the country by speeding up the process of transport work and assisting farmers, particularly in remote areas, the government has started quite a few schemes.
