  • Step 4: The Jeevan Pramaan Patra can be accessed and downloaded from the portal by providing the Jeevan Pramaan ID.

  • Step 5: The pension disbursing authority also has access to the Jeevan Pramaan Patra through the Jeevan Pramaan Portal and can use the same for the disbursement of pensions.

How to Register for Jeevan Praman Offline?

Offline Option for Applying for Jeevan Pramaan Certificate. Here is a step-by-step guide to register for the Jeevan Praman patra offline:

Step 1: via Common Service Centre (CSC).

  • Visit any CSC to get yourself registered for the internet services you want (a small fee may be charged).
  • Dial 7738299899 or text JPL to get a list of the available centres.

Step 2: via designated office.

  • You should take your registration at a local government registration office.

Step 3: via App Registration on Device.

  • Currently available for Android 8.0+ and Windows 8.0+ The app can be downloaded.
  • The use of biometric devices requires that the device be registered for any certificate to be produced.

Step 4: Via post office or at the doorstep service.

  • You can obtain it at a token charge of Rs. 70.
  • Carry necessary details: Pension ID, PPO no., Bank details, Aadhaar no., AND contact details.
  • To the mobile, Pramaan ID is sent and the certificate is immediately available.

How To Enrol For Jeevan Pramaan Certificate?

The Jeevan Pramaan Certificate is one of the most commendable schemes for senior citizens because it provides legal ID proof of their identity and a 10-meter parking permit post-Indian retirement. To enrol for a Jeevan Pramaan Certificate, individuals can apply via smartphone via website or application.

  • The Jeevan Pramaan app can be downloaded on mobile or personal computers.
  • Visit a Jeevan Pramaan Centre
  • Walk into a Jeevan Pramaan centre, which can be in a bank, government office or common service centre, and get yourself registered.

How To Generate Jeevan Pramaan Certificate/ID?

The detailed steps on how one can go through the process of being issued with a Jeevan Pramaan Certificate; the digital life certificate. To generate a Jeevan Pramaan certificate online, follow these steps:

Step 1: Login to the Jeevan Pramaan App.

  • Pramaan ID and OTP should be entered.

Step 2: Click on the option ‘Generate Jeevan Pramaan.’

  • They will ask for Aadhaar and mobile number, and on clicking on Generate OTP, the OTP would be generated.
  • Please insert the OTP received on your mobile.

Step 3: Fill in the required details.

  • Pensioner Name
  • PPO Number
  • Type of Pension
  • Details of the sanctioning and disbursing agency
  • Email ID and Bank Account Number
  • If applicable, status of re-employed / remarried.

Step 4: Biometric Authentication.

  • Fingerprint/IRI scan, which will be Aadhaar authenticated.
  • When the user goes through the process of authentication, then the certificate is displayed on the screen.
  • If you have a mobile, then a confirmation with the certificate ID will blink on it.

Jeevan Pramaan Certificate Download

Here is a step-by-step process of downloading the Jeevan Pramaan certificate, but before that, kindly note that, after obtaining the DLC, it is preserved with the Life Certificate Repository.

For pensioners: You can get your certificate through the mobile app known as Jeevan Pramaan or through the website.

For Pension Disbursing Agency (PDA):

  • PDA enters user identification on the Jeevan Pramaan website.
  • Type in the Pramaan ID to download the certificate, which is only visible if the pensioner has shared it.

How to Locate Nearest Jeevan Pramaan Centres?

To find a nearby Jeevan Pramaan Centre (JPC):

  • Get access to the Jeevan Pramaan portal.
  • Select "Locate a Centre."
  • Search it by location type, state or district.

Reasons For Non-Generation Of Jeevan Pramaan Or DLC

A Jeevan Pramaan certificate may not be produced in case wrong entries are made. Here are common reasons for issues during submission:

Technical and Environmental Issues:

  • Poor Lighting: This you can hold by making sure that you have adequate lighting for facial recognition.
  • Aadhaar or Biometric Lock: Always ensure to unlock Aadhaar or biometric settings before operation or scanning.
  • Incorrect Face Position: There should be no side angles and the position should face forward.
  • Multiple Faces: All other members should not be included in the frame.
  • Improper Distance: Whenever you’re on camera, make sure you are at the right distance .
  • Blinking or Moving Face: Don’t move your head or shut your eyes when the scanner is being used.
  • Background: Have an easy, single-coloured gauge.
  • Slow Internet: Make sure that you work under a stable internet connection.

Device & Aadhaar Photo Issues

  • Eyewear Mismatch: If glasses were used in the Aadhaar photo, wear them during scanning (or the other way around).
  • Device Compatibility: Android phone 9 of higher and 13MP camera resolution or higher, at least 500MB of free space.

Hence, if problems continue, it is advised to apply for your life certificate at one of the branches of a bank.
