The consumers can opt for Building Integrated Photo-Voltaic (BIPV) systems in case of a lack of rooftop space.
Panels can now also be installed in balconies, terraces, on top of elevated structures.
BIPVs and other forms of solar installations, as highlighted above, will also be covered under Central Financial Assistance (CFA) under this scheme.
CFA will also be provided to grid-connected rooftop solar projects.
An option for virtual net metering and group net metering has also been provided under the guidelines.
