Police officials against whom any disciplinary action has been taken by the authorities during their service period.
Applicants who have more than one Annual Confidential Report missing from their records, or applicants who do not have the last year’s ACR with them.
An eligible individual can apply for the President's police medal through an online portal. The entire application process is broken down below in detailed steps for one’s better understanding and clarity:
Step 1: Please visit the official website of the National Awards portal.
Step 2: On the homepage, you will find the ‘New Registration’ option. Click on it and register using your details.
Step 3: After successful registration, log in to the portal using your recently set up credentials. One can also log in using the credentials of the recommending authority.

Step 1: The awardee needs to start by filing a formal FIR (First Information Report) concerning the loss of the medal, and then keep a copy of the FIR safe. The reasons for the loss of the medal should be justified and valid.
Step 2: The cost of making the duplicate medal will have to be borne by the awardee and paid through Bank Drafts. Awardee will also be required to pay a penalty of losing the medal, which is around Rs 10,000, in favor of the Pay and Accounts Officer of the Ministry of Home Affairs. The penalty should also be paid via a Demand Draft (DD).
Step 3: After necessary verification checks, the authorities will issue the order authorising the making of the duplicate President's police medal.
Applicants are required to upload some supporting documents while completing the application process. The list of required documents is as follows:
Service record certificate.
Vigilance clearance certificate.
Annual Performance Appraisal Reports (APARs) or Annual Confidential Reports (ACRs).
Integrity certificate.
Medical fitness certificate (SHAPE category).
Recommendation letters.
Citation document with an exclusive focus on the applicant’s contribution during their service.
Cadre clearance certificate.
