The Prosthetic limb government scheme was launched by the Government of Chhattisgarh for the welfare of persons with disability to facilitate them with mobility and assistive devices. The scheme supports people with disability to address physical limitations and enhance their quality of living.

The amount of financial support provided under the wheelchair distribution scheme depends on the income level of the applicant or their parents/guardians. In order to be eligible to receive benefits under this divyang assistive equipment scheme, applicants have to meet certain eligibility requirements set out by the Social Welfare Department. The applicant must be a Permanent Citizen of Chhattisgarh State.
Applicant should be a person with disability.

Step 1: The applicant should obtain the prescribed application form from the office of the Joint Director / Deputy Director, District Panchayat and Social Welfare Department.
Step 2: Ensure that all personal details, disability information, income details and address information are entered accurately in the application form. Any incorrect information may lead to rejection of the application.
Step 3: Attach all supporting documents to the Application form.
Step 4: The final application form needs to be submitted at the concerned district office of the Panchayat and Social Welfare Department.
Step 5: Officials will check the applicant's eligibility, disability percentage and financial situation before granting him the application.
Step 6: On successful approval, the beneficiary is provided with necessary assistive devices by the department or by authorised distribution camps.
