In a recent statement, the CM of Rajasthan, Bhajan Lal Sharma, has proposed to fill in 26,000 vacant government posts within a year. The Rajasthan government has also announced a new scheme called the Poverty-Free Village Scheme, which seeks to eliminate poverty in approximately 5,000 villages with an allocation of over 350 crores.
The announcement was made alongside the budget for the State Assembly, which was scheduled for discussion on the 19th of February. The CM, in addition to offering employment, also added multiple socio-economic schemes aimed at rural as well as urban development.

The scheme enhances the living standards of Below Poverty Line (BPL) families by providing better livelihood and infrastructure development, including social amenities for 5,000 villages across the state of Rajasthan. The first phase alone has been allocated a budget of ₹350 crore and will be scaled up in the future.
From this year onward, the strategically located state of Rajasthan plans on recruiting 26,000 employees in the following sectors.
10,000 in teaching
10,000 in policing
4,000 Patwaris
1,750 in forest services
These new recruitments will aim towards improving education, law enforcement, and public service departments within the state.

The Government is making serious efforts to expand urban development and aid distressed farmers. This is what is in store:
A committee will review the urban schemes initiated during the period of Shanti Dhariwal, with special attention to the accountability and transparency aspects.
Farmers with unpaid loans will benefit from the scheme and have outstanding debts written off with a budget of ₹200 crore set aside to clear balances at the Land Development Bank.
New Nagar Vikas Nyas (UITs) will be created in Dausa and Balotra to increase town development.
While defending the Rising Rajasthan Initiative, CM Bhajan Lal Sharma noted that MoUs worth ₹35 lakh crore have been signed, out of which ₹2.24 lakh crore have already been executed. It is expected that by March 30, 2025, MoUs worth ₹3 lakh crore will also be executed, which will ensure economic growth and ample job opportunities.
