The NHAI has released a notification of an updated increase in countrywide toll rates. Starting at midnight on March 31, 2025, the new toll rates will come into effect for routine travelers as well as commercial vehicle operators.
The mid-year revision cycle has been executed twice in a year, which last occurred in June 2024. The increases will be implemented along many primary national and state highways.

There has been a change in the toll rates on the Delhi - Meerut Expressway and NH-9. These adjustments affect various categories of vehicles, mainly those that commute daily. Let’s take a glance at the new rates following the most recent increase.

Light motor vehicles/mini buses:

The NHAI shares that the toll revision is in sync with annual inflationary increases and funding requirements for infrastructure work. The funds earned will be used towards:
Road expansion and widening projects
Maintenance of existing highways
Better roadside amenities and safety infrastructure
NHAI accepts the strain placed on travelers, yet the organisation claims that modifications are essential to safeguard the standards as well as the longevity of the expanding Indian roadway infrastructure.
If you’re gearing up for a road trip or even a commute shortly, here’s something you ought to know. Toll rates on major highways are expected to change, and this will impact frequent travelers, particularly on busy routes.
The new toll rates come into effect on April 1, 2025.
Toll booths will continue charging existing rates until midnight of March 31.
Plan your travel and budget if you use high-traffic corridors often.
NHAI hopes to attain sustainable financing alongside the building of infrastructure through this revised toll structure. Although the rise may inconvenience some travelers in the short term, it reflects India’s broader commitment to strengthening its national highway ecosystem.
